CoolCat Express Corp.: Series 1 Thermostat

C20766 was the factory thermostat for 4.2 S1 E-Types, but has been unavailable for many years. This wax-motor thermostat had a sleeve which fully controled the slot bypass and an open set point of 74C. They were also backward compatible with 3.8 and earlier engines, and allow the use of 7 lb radiator caps with those engines. While we haven't been successful at putting these back into production, we are excited to announce that we have bought out the last remaining shelf stock from a European aftermarket manufacturer. These are executed in stainless steel, for long service life. This is the only available thermostat that will fit your early XK engine with no modification and provide proper bypass control.
